The Humanscale World Chair, designed by Neils Diffrient, is a timeless design that redefined seating within the contract furniture market. The retrofit head support needed to seamlessly integrate onto the existing product as if designed from the very beginning but also provide ease of installation and high levels of strength in it’s method of attachment. Humanscale identified a need for users to be able to lean back and take naps in their chairs but not have a consistent shoulder rest that would get in the way.
